Oh Mr. Sun!

We have a children's CD that we play in the car whenever Park is fussy - and he loves it!  Well - out of the blue - he starts SINGING ALONG to one of the songs this weekend!  Chris and I just looked at each other like - "How in the world did he learn this song!"  I am guessing they sing it at school - but I just had to get a video of it this weekend before he stops doing it :)  He's so unpredictable in these toddler years!  So - we took this last night a few minutes before bedtime - probably not the best time - and he had been singing this with me for about an hour before we finally thought of taking the video - but I did capture it well enough to remember this precious memory!  Enjoy!  --Hillary

Re-visiting VL!

Last Sunday - we visited our old church in Smyrna - Vinings Lake!  Oh - we had so much fun!  We got to catch up with a few friends before and after the church service and we ALSO got to spend the afternoon with the Bennetts!  Brian was the first person I met at VL when we first began to go to church there and we ended up joining his Growth Group - and we naturally became really close to him and Jen while we lived there.  Well - THEY had a baby about 6 weeks ago and we hadn't been able to meet Hudson yet - so we (ME) had been dying to get down to Mableton to visit them!  We had an awesome afternoon of GUACAMOLE and CHILI and REECE'S BARS - made by yours truly - and a fun afternoon of watching football and playing with babies.  Jarrett and Christy - two other of our closest friends who had a baby about 6 months ago - also came over for an hour or so to eat lunch with us and hang with the babies.

Parker loved rocking sweet baby Hudson in his swing :)
 Guess what - cheese!
Playing on the floor with baby Logan!
Rocking baby Logan in his carrier - he LOVED rocking (ROT-IN as Parker says it) the babies.
The boys watching football - Parker was impressing Brian with his sweet flash card skills!

 Precious Hudson!
Hudson is only SIX WEEKS - but is basically in the 99th % in all his measurements!
He's nearly as big as our shrimp - Parker!

CiCi's night for CCA!

Park's school had another fundraising night at Cici's pizza so we decided to go and take advantage of our entire family eating for less than $9.00 - and we got to hang out with our friends the Cones!  Davis (Va-Vis - as Park says it) and Parker (Car-car - as Davis says it) had fun hanging out together.  It's getting harder and harder to get a good picture of these two - they are all over the place!

Park was a big fan of the arcade room!

Look at this picture gives me a flash forward in 15 years when he has his license.  SCARY!

Congrats to the Drucks!

Zach and Angela announced their pregnancy a few weeks ago, so we got together with friends and celebrated their fun news!  And I made them an awesome cake!  Yum!

Parkster is really excited about having another baby in our Life_Group!
And of course we couldn't have a fun night together without playing Dance Off and Rock Band!

Ginch - Not Nice!

Our awesome neighbors, Jon and Robin, bought Parker "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" for Christmas!  Well - since the day he got the book - we've probably read it to him AT LEAST once a day.  NOT even kidding.  He LOVES that book.  He points out the "Ginch" on every page, Max the dog (he also got a stuffed Max dog from J and R) and he also points out little things like the trains (chains), dolls, snow, etc.  Some of his favorite things to say throughout the book are that the Grinch's heart is too small (Ginch, Hot, Mall) and that the Grinch's shoes are too tight (Ginch, Shooooo, Tot).  I got a few videos of Chris reading to him the other night - Chris wasn't too happy about it as you can pick up in some parts of the video - but it's ABSOLUTELY a memory that NEVER want to forget.  :)  Enjoy!

Pool Sledding @ Night!

I totally forgot I had these videos on my camera! I - of course - had to give them the same justice as the other snow videos! Enjoy!

Vegas Baby!

The week after New Years, I went to Las Vegas to work at the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas.  I am not really a fan of Vegas - I guess going for work days that lasted more than 10 hours and walking the Las Vegas Convention Center (probably about 20 miles a day - I really don't think that is exaggerating) - I only got glimpses of Vegas driving down the strip a few times a day to and from the hotel.  So - Chris is truly going to have to twist my arm to drag me there again - but I have a feeling it's something he's set on one day.  We'll see.  :)  I'd rather go to the beach!

I actually didn't gamble at all while there - except with my bosses money :)  Here I am at the "picture taking" machine in our hotel, New York, NY.
Yes - that would be parts of a roller coaster you see on top of New York New York - crazy!

Walking around CES for 4 days before the show even opened - I was able to get a little glimpse of a few really cool things.  Here are the stars of the new movie, The Green Hornet, being interviewed at the Sony booth the day before the show opened.  And by Sony booth - I mean - this "booth" was the size of a small city.  Not kidding.

I'm sure a million people I know would have loved to have been there. I'm just not really into electronics so it wasn't as cool to me as it probably would have been to a lot of people.
Flying out of Vegas - it looks SO small from a plane!
 The mountains leaving Vegas...
Parts of the Grand Canyon - now THAT is something I'd like to see one day.

New Year's Day

On New Year's Day - we went over to Chris' boss's house to see their horses!  Parker ABSOLUTELY loved seeing the horses and he is still talking about them.  Anytime Parker sees an apple or carrot - he starts talking about how he fed them "bapples" and "cut cuts" and he makes a "chomp chomp" sound with his mouth.  Too cute :)

Chris' boss lives super close to this awesome park so we had to stop by on the way home.  It was FREEZING but Parker had a blast!

Park and Camo - New Years Eve

Parker doesn't get to see his cousin Campbell near as much as he'd like to - but we did get to spend an evening with them a few weeks ago! She only lives about 30-45 minutes away - so hopefully we'll be able to make more visits to see them now that our winter and spring lives have slowed down a bit.

For New Year's Eve - Uncle Doug, Aunt Nit-ney and KK came over!  We had fun playing Wizard (I hate that game but I was out-voted) and Apples to Apples.  I came to one conclusion this year - we are old.  We all had a hard time staying up 'til midnight.  7:00 came very early on New Year's Day when KK and Parker woke up bright and early ready to PLAY!

Parker's infamous "cheese" face....
Tanner and Bella had a fun time playing together all night!
Again with the "cheese" face... what am I going to do with this?
 Doug and his twin, KK.
You could say Jack was a little tired after Tanner left on New Year's Day!  He actually fell asleep with his head up - and his tongue out.
After I assisted him with laying his head down, his tongue stayed out!
We finished up our New Year's Weekend by hiring a sitter and going out to eat Hibachi with Jon and Robin - then - of course - came back to play J and R's rock band - at our house!
That's Robin on the couch - not me :)  Even our husbands get us confused sometimes.

Snowpocalypse 2011!

I'm not sure but this video may be a little better quality than the last one... we'll give it a try!

Snowpocalypse 2011!

So I have a ton to update on the 'ol bloggity blog.  Including New Years, Parker's new love for horses, my trip to Vegas for work, Park's first bloody nose, and the snow!  But until I have a few spare minutes to do all that - here is a video of the fun we had at home the past 4 days in the snow!
