Congrats to the Drucks!

Zach and Angela announced their pregnancy a few weeks ago, so we got together with friends and celebrated their fun news!  And I made them an awesome cake!  Yum!

Parkster is really excited about having another baby in our Life_Group!
And of course we couldn't have a fun night together without playing Dance Off and Rock Band!

The Magic of Christmas - Stone Mountain Christmas!

The weekend before Thanksgiving, we started a new family tradition of going to Stone Mountain Christmas with Parker!  My sweet friends from church, The Marchmans, have been going the past several years, and when I read her blog post about going last year - I emailed her and said we DEFINITEY had to go with them next year!  So  - when Christmas season in "Krisin Marchman" world came around in early October - I got an email asking if I still wanted to go!  DUH!  Of course I did!  So, we bought a Family Four Pack of tickets and had an awesome day and evening full of Christmas magic - and free hot chocolate all day too!  In 78 degree weather!  Yum!

The view of downtown Atlanta from the top of the mountain.  It really wasn't all THAT foggy - but my camera was zoomed ALL the way in for this pictures - so it looks foggier than it really was.
Chris and Parker exploring at the top of the mountain.

Precious boy.
Family Photo!
Parker LOVED sitting with the Snow Angel!
Our family in front of the mountain.  The red thing you see behind us is the construction area for SNOW Mountain coming next weekend!  They have been making snow since early October for this event!  I think Pman is a little too young - but next year I think Snow Mountain will be a new family tradition that we'll add to our list!
The snow!
Kisses under the misletoe!

The parade!  This is kind of where it (meaning "the magic") started.  One of those "Proud Mommy Moments" where you are blessed enough to witness your child experiencing something for the first time - which I really don't get to do much of since I'm a working mommy.  We haven't really been talking about Santa at all - I mean - he can't even say a sentence yet - but somehow - when Santa came out on the float for the parade - Parker was in complete awe.  His eyes COMPLETELY lit up with excitement.  Something about the magic of Christmas is VERY exciting and I can't WAIT til we get to experience Christmas morning with him in a few weeks!
Cheesin' it up for the camera!
The awesome lights of the "village".
Love Him.
We took the train ride to the other side of the mountain where we saw a short skit that explained the TRUE meaning of Christmas.  This is something even more joyful to experience with Parker.  I love talking to Park about how God sent his son, Jesus, on Christmas morning.  Telling the story to him, over and over again, every day is awesome.  I love being able to witness to my child - and I can't wait to really see things start to "click" with him as he starts to understand it more.  Anyway - this is Park on the train ride.
Kristin and Tyler.  They are just one of the 6 AWESOME couples in our L_G that we love love.  Kristin and I share a pretty fond love for the Christmas season - however - I think she may love it a little more than I do - which I didn't know was possible until I met her!  :)
KRISTIN LOVES CHRISTMAS!

The beautiful Christmas tree.
Parker was tired of riding in the stroller - so he pushed it around for awhile.
Then he got tired so he got back in :) Check out that molar in the back left of his mouth.  Ouchie!
THE SNOW ANGEL!  She made it snow for us - it was so fun!
Parker and I catching the snow.
Snow and fireworks - such a fun night!
On the way out of the park, Parker was OUT!
THANKS FOR AN AWESOME NIGHT MARCHMANS!

Sienna's 1st Birthday!

We had so much fun at Sienna's birthday party in November!  Parker had a blast helping his future wife open all her presents and playing with them, too :)
Can I help ya little lady?
Here - you do it like this sweet heart!
Sienna's birthday was a candy shop theme!  Check out her awesome cake!
She was not shy - she dug right in.
My Life_Group Ladies - and Parker (who looks a little cross-eyed!)
Amy did such an awesome job getting everything together!  This was Sienna's Sweet Shop - where we all got to "shop" for free before we left the party.  Let's just say the party was about 2 weeks ago and I'm still on a sugar high.

Life_Group Retreat!

The weekend of Halloween, our Life_Group from church had a weekend getaway retreat!  Chris' boss has a cabin up in Helen, Ga that his employees are free to use whenever.  So - we chose to take our Life_Group members up there for a weekend - what a GREAT decision!  We had such a great time.  It's very rare that ALL of us are together every week due to our busy schedules, so having everyone there - together - for an entire weekend was amazing!  We are so blessed to have these people in our lives and literally consider the an answer to prayer.  We felt so lonely when we first moved to Cumming - about an hour away from all our old church friends - but shortly after we met our awesome neighbors, Jon and Robin, we got involved in our awesome church, Mountain Lake, and then went to join Jon and Robin's Life_Group!

Here are some pictures from the weekend!

Chris and I sharing an AMAZING caramel apple in one of Helen's UH-MA-ZING candy stores!  We spent more money at the candy store than we did anywhere else!  Whoopsie.
This guy has a little shop in downtown Helen where he makes all wooden toys - right there in the shop! We bought this awesome little toy train for Parker which he LOVES!  I love simple wooden toys - and it seems as if Parker likes them more than expensive flashy noisy toys!
Amy made her AWESOME guacamole for everyone on Saturday night.  YUM!  I am pretty sure Kristin and I ate the entire bowl - sorry to everyone who didn't get any!
All the L_G ladies!

We all took turns making meals together and the Berlins and Drucks were in charge of dinner on Saturday night!  Robin's whipping up her amazing marinade for the steak and chicken kabobs!
And - Jon - being - Jon.
The view from our back porch!
Me and my love.
Kristin and Tyler - I only took about 2 bajillion pictures of them to get one that turned out so great.  Chris would NOT have had the patience to endure that kind of photo session.  Tyler did great, though!
The Drunks.
These pictures need no caption.  Let's just say we were playing with the self timer options.

The L_G ladies again - LOVE them.
The entire group.
Robin and her KABOBS!
Tournament time!  The two college athletes at war!

Chris took on Amy - Ms. All American Professional Tennis All Star - seriously.
 BON FIRE TIME!

We found Kristin's REAL true love in her bed when we got back from the fire!
In case you don't know Kristin - she LOVES Christmas!  And Santa.
 Some cabin decor....

This little rascal nearly got shot!  I really wanted those cracker jacks!

 The cabin.
The 50s love shack that we banned Robin to since she had an awful cold!  And because they were too nice to fight for a bed in the house!  :)
