Catching up with VL girls - and more of Parker's Bruisers!

First of all - I just have to say that I am RELIEVED that spell check is back on blogger!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY KAITIE!  Parker and I made the long trip to see our friends from Vinings Lake last night.  We were out several hours past Park's bedtime but we made it work!  He was OK - until he was running around he tripped - nothing unusual - then he decided to hold his breath for so long that he would nearly start to turn blue.  FUN!  First time he's ever done this - but I was so freaked out I kind of didn't know what to do.  Hopefully he doesn't try this trick again....

Here is Park with his Aunt Kaitie!
And with his Aunt Tamara

Ant with his Aunt Jen - and in her belly his new little bud!

Even through all his bruises - he's happy!  It is REALLY hard to get a picture of him moving these days - he RUNS!
precious.

Happy Dada's Day!

FATHER'S DAY WEEKEND

Our best friends and neighbors bought Parker a pool for his birthday.  It was a few months late but came at the PERFECT time - the hottest weekend yet!    I spent about an hour in the pool with him on Sunday and got a nice little tan out of it - it's kind of nice to have a kid to blame me being in there on - but really - I think I like it as much as he does!

Amy had an adult-only birthday party - MY FAVORITE KIND - which forced us to drop Parker off at Aunt Whitney's and enjoy a night by ourselves!  We each consumed about 1500 calories but it was SO worth it!  Thanks Aunt Whitney and Uncle Doug!

Our small group - minus Z and A - at Cinco

Kinda love this guy.

We went to Giorgio's on Sunday evening with Whit and Doug and Kayley to celebrate Father's Day!  Here's our family picture at the restaurant...

After dinner - we stopped by the Avenue's for some gelato - and Parker walked around looking precious as always and making everyone stop and stare at his absolute cute-ness - until he BUSTED it.  It barely fell - but he rolled over on his face and the side walk is cobblestone or something like that and VERY scratchy - and a little harmless fall (that he does about once every 5 minutes anyway) turned into bloddy situation where all my earlier "oo-ers and ahh-ers" came running to the rescue with water and paper towels to help clean little man up.  Poor thing - he was a trooper and after the initial shock of being hurt very bad went away - he was his normal precious self - just a little banged up!  Which I kind of think makes him look even cuter!

At first we only noticed the bloody scratched up nose - but he also banged up his forehead pretty bad.

He got very busy when we got home from the Avenue's - picking up all his foam letters and putting them in various places around the house.  I am still finding T's and L's and B's in random places!

Last weekend....
We went to my nano's to surprise her for her 80th birthday!  Here are a few pix.

Me and my nephew, Jac

My sister Ashley and her youngest son, Miller.
Nano and Poppy with all their great grandkids - my dad's an only child so they are loving finally having multiple great grandkids!

2 Sundays ago - our cousin Campbell Anne came to visit - play in the pool - and grill out afterwards!  It was impossible to get a picture of them both looking at the camera - this was the best I could do - but it still turned out pretty cute.  It's hard to make these two kiddos look bad.

2 weeks ago at Life Group - we had a small birthday party for Angela!  I made an delish strawberry pie for her and Parker helped her blow out her candle!
Some other life groupers at our house.

Why I Love Fridays.... Especially This One....

  • Because - every once in awhile - I just take a moment to sit back - and realize how WONDERFUL my life is!  And today is just one of those days.  Is everything going PERFECTLY in my life right now?  HECK NO!  But my cup is over flowing.  And I am so thankful to God, my Heavenly Father, for everything he has blessed me with.
  • Because Chris has a job interview on Monday with his DREAM JOB that seems to have been created JUST for Him.  And I know - if he gets the job - or if he doesn't get the job - God still loves me exactly the same and we will remain faithful no matter what.  I know that His plan is perfect!
  • Because every Friday morning - I SPLURGE and pay $3.69 for a Tall Non Fat No Whip White Chocolate Mocha from Starbucks and it is SOOOOOOOOOOO good!  Still sipping on it now!
  • Because God has given me the absolute most wonderful job that I have been praying for for 5 years.  I am so blessed and I love my job - I love what I do - and I love my co-workers - and I love that I love my job!
  • Because as of today - I have lost 12 pounds since I started my diet and exercise routine.  I have been working my butt off - I still have just a few more pounds til I'm at my goal weight - but I LOVE taking care of this body God has given me and I love being good to it!
  • And because every once in awhile - I look around me and see all the wonderful people God has put in my life.  I am so amazingly blessed with AMAZING friends and AMAZING family - there is no way I can lose.  I could lose my house, all our money (oh wait we don't have any left over, anyway!), my car, my job, my clothes, EVERYTHING - and I would still consider myself blessed beyond compare.
Why do you love Fridays?  :)

Make sure

you scroll down to see all the recent updates - I am trying to post more updates this afternoon... :)

A weekend at home - FINALLY!

I started off our first weekend at home in nearly a month by bringing Parker to work with me!  He was GREAT taking two - 2 hour naps - and just playing by himself ALL day long - I actually got a lot of work done!  Here he is snacking under my desk... his fort.
He has started to get this REAL serious face when he eats now - hysterical.  He has to concentrate real hard.
Starting his modeling career early...
Hanging out at Subway and flirting with ALL the ladies - not even kidding.

Saturday evening we hung out at the Bledsoe's pool!  They had a slide and a huge children's play area - more pics of that to come soon - whenever Chelsea decides to forward them to me... could be awhile.
After the pool - we went back to their house for dinner!  Parker was ALL about some watermelon!
Aislynn wasn't too sure...
Today - Parker stayed home with dada - and they came to see me for lunch!  Dada had him dressed so sitnkin cute I couldn't stop taking pictures!
Showing off his bottom lip...
CHEESE!

We went to visit Nana and Hoppy who now live on Wilmington Island in Savannah!
We THEN went to visit Mimi and Papa in Waycross!  Busy weekend - Parker was enjoying dinner on the back porch on Sunday afternoon....
He's gotten to where he'll copy cat us no matter what we do... here is one of his copy cat faces... hilarious...
