Hiney Hoe Down... UNdecorating Christmas and Mall Meet Up w/ the Campbells...

I had SO many great plans for this weekend.
  • First and foremost - DECORATE for Christmas.  Christmas has already thrown up all over my neighbor's house and our house looks completely boring next to his... AND Christmas is my MOST FAVORITE-EST time of year and I LOOOOOOOVE decorating for Christmas!  It's my favorite.  My sweet friend Kristin was blogging about if she could be any character it would be Buddy the elf - and I totally second that.  A little bit of Buddy the elf lives inside of me and he basically explodes inside of me beginning the middle of November... and it's started... and I have no decorations up yet!  It's driving me crazy.
  • SECOND - Saturday was suppsoed to be an awesome day... we had lots of plans but we were really going to try and make everything work.  Chris' best friend, Jeremy, was up here in Atlanta celebrating his 30th birthday and we were going to hang out with them.  Our sweet friend, Noel, was also turning 30 this weekend and they were having a party at their house in Woodstock... AND... Saturday night was our neighborhood wine party at our club house and we have been looking forward to it for quite some time now so we could meet and hang out with some of our new neighbors!  Without the pool open - there isn't really any way to meet all the new neighbors.
So - anyway - absolutely NONE of these things happened this weekend.  And we blame it all on the di-di-di-di-di-diaper rash (play on Jamie Fox's song if you didn't get it...).  Saturday morning was GREAT and Sunday morning was also GREAT.  But Saturday afternoon and into evening was a NIGHTMARE and it basically consisted of either me or Chris holding a screaming baby and every time we tried to change his diaper or even hold him underneath his bottom would result in blood curling screams from this precious baby :(  Same thing happened today (Sunday).  All morning and early afternoon was great - then when we got home from running errands - when we were planning to decorate for Christmas - we were dealing with this terrible terrible red animal that has decided to grow on our son's hiney!  So - to say the least - the most we got done for Christmas decorating was getting the boxes down from the attic and stacking them on the wall in the garage... bummer.

Who knows it if will get done this week.  While most people are excited about their 2 or 3 day work week this week - I have the pleasure of working in the restaurant business where this week is no different than any other... and it's a little more hectic than most others.  It's the start of our BUSY season... which I am thankful for in many ways... but in some ways... I would REALLY like to spend time with my precious child during his first holidays!  But I thank God EVERY DAY for my job and for providing for us... I am thankful... I promise.

Today, we started the day attending another church in the area so we could hear Mike Huckabee speak... he's awesome... and I pray that God will allow him to work wonders in this country in the future.  I don't really like to talk politics though so I'll leave this at that...

This afternoon, we were able to see Jeremy for a few hours!  Yay!  We ran down to Perimeter Mall and grabbed some lunch with them and walked around the mall for a little while (this was the first time I had walked in a mall in at least a year and it was boring... probably because we have a $0 budget for clothes... which would explain why I haven't purchased any clothing for me in more than a year... it hasn't been so bad actually...) ANYWAY it was GREAT to hang out with Jeremy and Meaghan and catch up!  Here are some pix...

Uncle Jeremy and Parker actually look kind of alike.... Hmmmmm....  They actually look a lot more alike than Parker and his "actual" daddy.....

Happy Birthday Uncle Doug!

Last Monday was Parker's Uncle Doug's birthday!  He's very old - like 30 something :) - and he didn't want a party or anything but we did all go out to dinner together!  Aunt Ashley and her 2 kids, Jac and Miller, were in town because they had an appointment with the Phipp's Santa Claus on Tuesday.  We walked in and said we needed a table for 5 adults and 4 babies and they take us to a booth.  It was a pretty large booth so we squeezed in - Ashley and baby Miller then baby Jac on one side - then me, baby Parker and all the diaper bags on the other side of me - and we had filled up the entire booth - there were still 3 more adults and another baby to fit in there.  We search for the waiter and explain our situation and he got a really large table together for us across the restaurant.  There was a live one-man band there as well and Parker LOVED hearing the music!  This child has an awesome love for music already... taking after his mommy's musical side of the family.  My parents actually shipped a grand piano to my house this week and as soon as I sat down at it, Parker began jamming and laughing constantly.  He even sang a little with the songs he was planing on the pinao.  :)  More videos and pictures to come of that soon... below are pictures of our dining out adventure with all the babies... probably the last time we will attempt this... ever!  :)

Baby Miller and baby Parker having a very serious conversation...

Miller will eat anything he can get his mouth on - included his cousin's finger... and Parker looks a little confused as his mommy forces him to kiss his younger but bigger cousin... I guess this is the meaning of "kissing cousins" maybe?

Uncle Chris and Jac listening to the music...

The birthday boy and Kayley Lane enjoying some Mexican food!

Ashley and her two kids.... seeing her life lived out with 2 kids has inspired me to never ever have any more kids...

Parker in awe of the music man...

He seriously stayed like this and did not move for the entire song...

Ash and Jac listening to music...

Parker... still in awe....
I think we have a future musician on our hands... depsite what daddy says about it interfering with sports...

I could get used to this!

Most nights consist of me rushing to get last minute things done at work just to rush to my sister's house to get Parkster, then rushing home to feed him dinner, bathe him, feed him his last bottle and get him in bed by 7:30 - 8:00.  THEN finally taking 5 minutes for me to make myself dinner (normally consisting of cereal and milk) then it's back to rush rush rush of keeping the house clean, picking up, doing laundry and waiting patiently for my sweet hubs to get home from school so that we can rush through the plans for the next day then rushing to get to bed so we can average at least 6 hours of sleep.

Well - Wednesday evening - I had a horrific day at work (I have had a horrific week at work actually - nothing really going my way...) and I left work about two hours later than normal - which means that, yup you guessed it, my time with Parker was going to be even more rushed than normal.... sad :(  So I rush to pick him up knowing I only had less than an hour to spend with him before he went to bed.... which automatically put me in the a much worse mood than I already was for being at work so late.  I rush to pick him up, then rush home to try and fit everything in before night-night time.

I pull up to the house and open the garage and wait for Buddie to run out to greet us by the car.  I open the garage and.... no Buddie.  I hop out of the car and run into the garage and no Buddie anywhere!  I have a small heart attack then realize that the garage was much less empty than it normally is... Chris' car was there!

I hop back in the car and drive in the garage and close the door and as I get out of the car, a very handsome man walks out of the door to greet me, all dressed up in my favorite color on him!  :)  I grab all our stuff and the baby and walk into a very CLEAN and PICKED up house and am greeted by the WONDERFUL smell of one of my favorite dishes in the oven and a BEAUTIFUL bouquet of roses (pink roses which Chris informed me meant "Thankful" - which is what he is for me...) on the table with a card with my name on it laying next to them.

Dinner was spectacular and after we put baby Pman to bed, the night ended with an awesome bubble bath just for me with candles and all the special touches to make my night possibly the most relaxing ever.  I guess this is what it's like to have a husband at home every night!?!?!  I could get used to this!  :)

And Two Shall Become One...

When I found out I was pregnant last year, I wanted to start documenting what I was feeling and I decided a blog was the best way to do it. Well, I didn't really want to announce to the world JUST YET that I was PG so I started up a little "private" blog called the Hull Baby blog.  After I had told most of the people I wanted to find out from ME, I made the Hull Baby blog public so I could share all my PG adventures with the bloggy world!

Well - for 7 months - I did a REALLY good job at updating both blogs... the Whole Hull was strictly devoted to our house building adventures and "Hillary and Chris only" stuff and the Hull Baby blog was strictly devoted to pregnancy stuff.

THEN - Parker was born!  And I obviously have a really hard time finding ANY time to blog about anything unrelated to Parker.  Believe me - I have SO many random things I want to blog about and I think about them on my horrific commute every morning mostly - but I just don't have time to type it out.  So - anyway - I was getting tired of seeing my Whole Hull blog just sitting there - neglected and abused over months of not being updated.  SO - I saw this little tab on my blog the other day that said "Export and Import Blogs"  so I took a stab at it and VOILLA!  Both my blogs are now ONE and are under the Hull Baby name.

I'll still keep the Whole Hull around in case one day I decide I want to pull it back up - but - for now - the Hull Baby will be the only blog in the Hull family... very fitting considering after you have a baby - your life revolves around baby and your life is baby baby baby... which I wouldn't change for anything!!!  Thanks for being readers by the way - AND don't forget to "Follow" me - click the link to the right.

Weekend on the Farm!

We spent the weekend on THE FARM with Chris' brother, Jeff and his family (Leigh Ann and their son, Griffin, just a few weeks older than Parker!)

Aren't they a handsome pair?

I think this is the best smile we got from Griffin all weekend!  And it's OF COURSE in the same picture that Pman looks like a goober....

G-man is ON THE MOVE!  P-man on the other hand is not... Griffin is ALL OVER THE place and has perfected the army crawl!  Parker supposedly rolled all over the place for the nanny last week but I have still yet to witness it.  He is VERY content being in one place - all the time.

G and P

G-man wasn't too happy about another baby in his exersaucer... P-man, however, LOVED having new toys to play with!

Papa and Griffin!

Uncle Scott with P-man

P loves his Uncle Scottie!

Papa, G, P and Mimi - you can see the AWESOME view out of J and L's back porch... it was SO nice to get out of the city for a few days :)

Cute babies...

Hey - what did I do?

Taking a close look at Parker's eye - then looking up to Papa for some wisdom on how to correctly gouge his attention-stealer cousin's eye out...

I love tongue pix!

Presh Boys!

Best Buds!

Jeff and Lan's dog, Max, was NOT happy about Uncle Scott being in his chair... he stayed like this for about an hour until Uncle Scott got up and Max immediately claimed his spot!

So - since Parker discovered he can ROLL - he insists on laying on his tummy to sleep now.  It makes mommy a nervous wreck - but it makes for a VERY happy baby Parker!

Early Sunday morning with Uncle Jeff.

Papa with Perfect Parker.

Jeff and Griff-o-pot-o-mous...

THE ENTIRE REASON we came to visit Jeff and Lan was to be at Griffin's baby dedication at their church!

Scott and Chris with Pman after church...

I was taking pictures around the house trying to find some good ligthting to take a family picture.... and I just thought this picture was pretty even though it doesn't really show anything.... but it does show you the awesome details in their home.  I love the column, the arches and the door!

More picture testing.... also decided I would post this because it shows the pretty kitchen... and a pretty Lan :)

The family in attendance for the dedication!  Parker REFUSED to look at the camera. We had it on auto timer and it took 4 pictures in a row.  In between every shot, Parker would look at the camera, THEN right before each flash he'd turn his head!

The Other Hull Family!

Papa and Mimi with their grandsons!

Moving Mom and Dad...

Last weekend, Chris and I drove up to Tennessee to move my parents into a temporary rental house since they sold their house that has been on the market for more than a year!  What a blessing!

So - you may wonder.... how in the world did we move my parents from a 3 story, 4 bedroom house.....

To an 800 square foot house......

By using every room possible for storage!  AND... by having a really lucky daughter who gets to take home a new-to-her living room set, a new-to-her outside wicker couch, a new-to-her desk, a new-to-her book case for Parker's play room, a new-to-her toy chest and kid-sized table and chairs, TWO huge 9.5 foot new-to-her pre-lit Christmas trees AND...... THE BEST................ a GRAND PIANO!  :)  My used to be empty house is now full and bursting at the seams!  Thanks mom and dad!

Here are some other pictures from the weekend of chaos moving...

Mama feeding Parker.... sweet potatoes are his favorite!

ITTTTTTTTTTTTT'S MOHAWK TIME!

Parker thinks he is a stud with his new do!

It seriously stayed this way the entire day - and the entire next day!  With no hair product!  (The shirt says it all!)

Oh yeah.... check me out ladies :)

My new favorite thing!  LOVING drinking out of the straw with dada!
