Chris got some great tickets to a Braves Game and we were ALL so excited to go. We planned on taking both kids and just staying for a few innings. We had free tickets and a free parking pass... so it was a no lose situation. UNTIL I woke up Sunday morning with STREP THROAT! Awesome. So, with strict orders from mommy to take LOTS of pictures of them at the game, Parker and Daddy headed out for a "boys day" at the Braves game. They went alone and stayed for about half the game, but only sat in their seats for the amount of time it took Parker to eat this slushee! Ha! I think we will try again NEXT year.
He was exhausted on the way home! Before they even made it out of the parking lot, he was out!
One thing that Parker loves about our church we now go to is the old bell! Every Sunday when the rope is hanging down, he makes a beeline for it and rings it a few times before we leave!
Sweet boy and me hanging out on the back porch while baby sister was napping one morning!
One of the bible studies I was a part of last school year was called Birds on a Wire. I absolutely LOVE it and everything it has to offer. Karen, the leader, has amazing words and things to help mommies of young kiddos. She held a fundraiser, Mommy and Me Pirate Party for moms and their sons in early May! We brought the whole family and had a blast! He was a little shy at first, but came RIGHT out of his shell after a few minutes. Here he and daddy are playing the "scrub the deck" game!
Parker had to turn in circles 5 times then walk the plank! I would have fallen over if I did that - he had no problems.
He was so proud of himself!
One of the games was meant for a little bit older age group than Parker's so this game was changed to "sit on the swing and giggle for a few minutes" game. Ha!
Parker's favorite part of the scavenger hunt was saying "ARGHHH" then getting to go in the "ship" and pick out his treasure!
The last and best part was throwing the water balloons! We were the last group for this part of the hunt so the boys got to use up all the balloons! Parker loved smashing the balloons on the grass!
Despite what he looks like - he did love being splashed by the balloons!
After the scavenger hunt, we enjoyed some cake!
And pictures with the pirate!
Part of our group with the pirate!
The "Black Pearl" took all the boys back to the road where their "ships" (aka Mommy and Daddy's cars) were docked.
