Memorial Day Weekend - At the beach again!

So after we were home for approximately 48 hours, we loaded back up in the car and headed to the beach - again!  We went to visit my mom and dad in Wilmington Island  for Memorial Day / my mom's birthday!  Our best friends and neighbors, Jon and Robin, joined us... well Robin and I left Thursday morning and the boys came after work on Friday!  We had an awesome weekend with our awesome neighbors and family!

We loved being able to be with Nana on her birthday!  We were fresh from the pool in this picture hence the under-roo sportin' kiddo!
On Saturday, we decided to brave Tybee - even though a tropical storm was coming its way and it was a holiday weekend!  It took us FOREVER to find a parking spot and then even longer to find a place to pitch our tent set up!  But when we did, we stayed ALL day long!  My parents even left after a few hours which left us with no way to get Jon and Robin back!  So we crammed into our car and stuffed Jon into the back of the Edge with 4 beach chairs, the tent and all the towels and toys!  He's a good sport!
Crazy number of people on Tybee North Beach!
I think he's hot.  He's mine, too!
Caroline's little teethies started sprouting up Memorial Day weekend!  FUN!  I also was trying to force an extra feeding down her every day AND start cereal with her (doctor's orders)... it was a tough weekend for the little princess.

She loved showing off all her new rolling and mobility skills!
And she was FINALLY HAPPY about 30 minutes before we planned to leave the beach!  Perfect timing...
Jon and Robin!  Our BFFs!

This is Parker with Robin - not me.  We actually get confused for each other by lots of people - including our husbands sometimes!  There may have been an "almost but patt" or "almost arm around the shoulder" more than we'd like to admit!

This little man is a BEACH BUM!
Yes - that's Mr Jon in the back under everything!
 A good sport.

It takes one tired boy to literally sleep on a chair at the pool!

My sister has the very annoying privilege of living like 5 houses down from my parents.  Not annoying because she is annoying... it's annoying because I'm SUPER JEALOUS of her!  And very bitter that she lives in a town with BOTH her in laws at her beck and call.  Anyway - Miller wasn't feeling well the weekend we were there, so we kept our distance for the most part, but they did come over a few times without Miller and then they all came over on our last day to see sweet Caroline!
 Ms. Robin = Jungle Gym!

Our last night we planned to go out for crab legs!  Chris loves getting some crab legs at the beach!  We let Jon and Robin pick the restaurant - which ended up not having crab legs (whoops!) but we had a fabulous time on our kid-LESS date in downtown Savannah!  After dinner, we hurried to River Street for some sweets!  We just missed the beginning of the tropical storm, too!  It started down pouring on our way home!

OH and the best part of our trip was that we got to see our sweet Bella!  We gave Bella away to my sister's tennis partner a year or so ago - soon after we realized we were pregnant with Caroline.  We stopped by her new home and she did NOT recognize us at all - but that's OK.  We got to see her happy new island life and we have the peace of mind that she has a GREAT DOGGY LIFE where she's seldom crated and has 3 older kiddos who love and dote on her always!!

Sweet Bella - miss her! Kayley randomly asked about her the other day - crazy! It's probably more b/c we have a stuffed animal named after her but still, I was impressed. And Jac looks just thrilled that they got to see Caroline before you went home! ;)
