Random updates December 2012

One very important update in December was that my sweet niece, Ivy Elizabeth was born!  She was born on December 11, 2012 and is absolutely precious!
We headed over to Bubba's house one afternoon to visit with him and to also get some of Nano's Christmas decorations from the basement.  His girlfriend, Sarah, had her granddaughter, Alexis, with her that day so Parker had a fun play date while we were there.  And what would a trip to Bubba's house be without a ride in the tractor!

That thumb... oh... that thumb.... ALWAYS in her mouth.
Elf on the Shelf came to visit us again this year!  He was a little naughty at times, but just silly most of the time.  His first day here, he wrote a note to Parker and wrote out a special message in Cheerios!  A few years ago, the elf's name was Pee Pee.  Last year, thankfully, Parker changed his name to Elfie... much better!

Any time Caroline gets really quiet, I know where she is.  She  LOVES climbing anything and she LOVES climbing this chair the most!
Her other favorite pasttime is finding a wipes package, opening it, and then pulling out every. single. wipe. from the package.  We've wasted quite a few wipes this month.
Some more trouble Elfie got into over the month of December.
He went fishing one day!
And one day he built an awesome tower in the play room!
The weather got crazy warm in mid-December so we enjoyed some ice cream on the back porch!
Sisi had a surprise visit one night right before bed!  Dylan cut his head while at a babysitter's in our neighborhood, so while mommy and daddy took him to the urgent care for stitches, Sisi came and went to bed at our house.

Again... the thumb in the mouth.
Park is ALL into stories these days.  He's always asking for a story before bed and right when you start telling a story, he interrupts you and tells you what you're saying wrong.  He changes the story a little bit, then soon after you start telling it again, he interrupts you and changes it again.  For example, if the main character in your story is a lion (Simba), a few sentences into the story, he'll say, "No, no daddy... it's not Simba, it's a jungle elephant (another favorite animal of his... if it even exists?)  It's the cutest thing to watch and listen to.
Here is our Christmas card this year!
And here is the Hull's Christmas card!  I designed it for them, of course.  Love how it turned out.  Pretty simple. But cute.

And here's my mom's card I designed for her.  Love it too - super cute.  I design them from scratch on photoshop or picmonkey then you can order the card as a "photo" for like 5 cents each.  Pretty clever really.
