Parker and KK at Buckhead Pizza - they were mesmerized with the live music!
See! A totally happy normal kid over the weekend!
Sunday, we went to church, played outside all day Sunday - then Monday morning he woke up a different kid. He was breathing much harder than normal, was SUPER fussy (not normal) and just acted miserable. I dropped him off at Whit's house hoping he would clear up as the day went on and he seemed to be a little better by 8 am, but I got a call around lunchtime from the nanny who said he wasn't eating, wasn't happy and something just wasn't right. By the time I picked him up to go to the doctor's office, his breathing was MUCH worse and he had lost a lot of color in his face. Turns out, he had bronchialitis and wasn't getting enough oxygen so all this past week he has been on breathing treatments 4 times a day and steroids 2 times a day. Really - the breathing treatments aren't too bad - he had them once before when he had RSV as an infant - but he's much better now. He even holds his mask up by himself!
Kayley was a big help to Nanny Julie during Parker's breathing treatments!
By the third day, he was falling asleep during treatments.
If a doctor ever gives you steroids to give you child - RUN! These things make your kid CRAZY. On Wednesday, he bit our nanny twice - on either side of her shoulder - and drew blood once! Needless to say - I have not been following strict dosage orders on the steroids - but no worries - he's doing great! Even though the week started out terribly (6 hours in the doctor's office in 2 days is always fun!) we ended the week RIGHT by throwing Parker a party! Thursday was his 1 and a half years birthday so we celebrated with our Life_Group and Parker loved it!
He went straight for the candles and licked all the frosting off!
Dipping his candle in and back out to lick it :)
Precious 18 month old! (He's in his PJs!)
HAPPY HALF BIRTHDAY PARKER!!!!!!!!!!
