House Updates! 25 days to closing!

We stopped by the house Sunday afternoon- hoping to catch some pix of it in the snow! - but it had all melted by the time we got up there! Figures! It is REALLY looks amazing and we can't believe we are SO close to moving in!

Our hard wood floors were in which was exciting! They were all covered with paper to protect them, but we pulled back a corner to see what they looked like! And we LOVE them!

We brought Jack and Buddie for the first time since we've had walls in the house and they were SO FUNNY! I wish I would have thought to take a video of how they were acting in the house! We walked them up to the front door and as we were unlocking it - they both stuck their noses right up to the glass next to the door to check it out... I think we will probably have constant smudge marks on those windows! Buddie started jumping up and down (letting out his Jack Russell side that we seldom get to see!) and when I opened the door it was C-H-A-O-S for the first 5 minutes! We unleashed them inside and Jack and Buddie went NUTS! They both immediately ran up the stairs and looked in every room then ran down the stairs, then ran up the stairs again and back down.... then did about 5 laps around the den, through the butler's pantry, through the dining room, through the foyer and back into the den. Then they saw the glassed french doors to the outside back yard and both immediately ran into the kitchen to check them out and did about 5 laps around the kitchen island and then went and pushed their noses up against the glass... I guess those will constantly have smudge marks on them as well! We could tell they were just screaming "WE LOVE IT, WE LOVE IT, WE LOVE IT, WE LOVE IT, WE LOVE IT, WE LOVE IT, WE LOVE IT, WE LOVE IT, WE LOVE IT, WE LOVE IT!!!!!" over and over again! They were so cute!

The only thing really left to do is install the carpeting this week - then all the "little" issues will get fixed and that's it! We have loved the entire process of building our own home and would totally recommend anyone to build their house with Ashton Woods. They are incredible! (And I'm not just saying that because Kelli, the Ashton Woods realtor reads my blog :) We really love AW!)

OUR FIRST HOUSE VISITOR! Spidey the Spider was our first visitor in our house! Although we were extremely happy to have him enjoy our nicely heated house - out of the snow and rain - I made Chris smush him on the wall with a stick so Spidey wouldn't make any Spidey Juniors in our house! :)
