My dad's boat!

My dad has been dreaming of a boat his entire life... but he has always put the needs of his family first. Instead of buying a boat, daddy has bought 3 cars for his daughters, 3 wedding dresses, 3 wedding receptions, 3 college tuitions (mine which was out of state for about 4 years... YIKES!), 3 study abroad trips to Europe and COUNTLESS other things to make sure his family was happy before he was.
In fact - funny story - when my sweet husband drove to Tennessee to ask my father for my hand in marriage, the first thing my dad said to him after he asked was, "Well, I guess this just means I have to wait another decade to buy my boat!".

Some may call it a mid-life crises but I call it a surviving a rare form of soft muscle tissue cancer and just deciding to DO IT! Finally! And to top it off - he bought it on his 60th birthday!

Happy Birthday and Congratulations dad!

Dad with MY dog, who they now claim as their own, K.C.

The pics don't show the sail, but it is apparantly red and white. This boat must be awesome because my dad normally avoids anything UGA colors at all cost!!
