Parker's First Out To Dinner!

Last night, Mimi took us all out to dinner! It was our first excursion out of the house for dinner and Parker was SO wonderful. Our one lesson we are still getting used to: When you have a baby - you have to plan to leave the house about 30 minutes before you ever used to! Of course he peed on his first outfit he had on, then he needed a diaper change, then he spit up just a little bit, then mommy realized she hadn't even put on deodorant that day, nor had she had time to run a comb through her hair in the past 8 hours... And mommy had spit up on her shirt and some spilled breast milk on her shorts. Lovely.
While we were waiting for our table at our favorite new restaurant in Cumming, CINCO, Parker was chill-axin on the sidewalk, being his precious cute self and along comes this lady who had probably had 10 drinks over her limit and stopped and ooohed and awwwed over him. This was of course OK with me because... come on now... he is the most handsome baby in the world - who could resist staring at him :) Anyway - when the conversation led to how absolutely beautiful his lips are and she then asked me if she could KISS my child on the lips... our lively conversation quickly turned into me glaring at her and almost too quickly shot back at her "NO!" What kind of lunatic would think they could kiss a 2 week old baby on the lips? After I calmed down, the thought came over me that this is probably what Parker's life will be like in his teen years. If he looks anything like his daddy did in high school, I am in for some fun parenting years full of late night phone calls from an endless list of girls that I am SURE I will never EVER think are good enough for my sweet son.
